Basset Hound at the ranch?

Since I'm not allowed any more animals that don't "work" at the ranch I'm in dire need of finding a purpose for a basset hound.

Here are just a few reasons why.

V, I die! Love! You should read this blog that spends much of the time talking about the family basset hound, floyd. http://www.totalbassetcase.com/

They are hunters, obviously something you need on a ranch! It would be a great hunting companion with Bailey! Miss you sister! xo

Might I suggest a beagle/basset mix? (We have one). They are very useful, in the following ways. 1: garbage disposal. 2: foot and/or bedwarmer.
3: rabbit hunter...maybe. This is yet to be proven with ours. 4. They are great at finding lost things/animals/people. What if you lose a lamb? Your basset will find it for you. Easy peasy.

Easy! They hunt. They make great watch dogs (big bark). They can track and find missing gloves, socks, hats, and anything else they may have hidden. And there is the entertainment factor. They are just so much fun to watch!
